DREAM SYMBOL STUDIES : STREET NAMES
STREET NAMES : Street names and place names are very significant and
can often give a hint about the dream. They are often puns on words that are
extremely important. Streetnames such as King Street, Hope Street, Falsgrave
Road, and Prospect Road are charged with meaning. Try to think how the streetname
is relevant in your own life right now.
Towns and cities with New in them are especially common such as New York,
Newcastle and Newquay. They all will highlight some new mood within you.

DREAM SYMBOL STUDIES : Real dreams with streets names in them
----------------------
THE DREAM - I am at weaponess park. This is a suburban area with large
mansion houses. There is my best friend there but I am not sure I really know
her. We appear to be near Valley Bridge.
THE REALITY The dreamer stated that at work a confrontation was bubbling beneath
the surface. He thought it was because his coworkers were jealous because
He was getting the best jobs. There was a mood beneath the surface yet he
could not quite work what it was.
DREAM INTERPRETATION The suburbs in dreams can link to a place where everyone
has the chance to express themselves freely - all the houses have plenty of
space. In such a situation everyone should be happy or at least have the chance
to be happy. Yet in this dream the suburb in question is named Weaponess Park.
That symbolises how this situation is somewhat tainted.
The dreamer realised that his ideal situation - where everyone gets along
is not been met. He realised that something was wrong. He maybe realised that
other people were having problems. He thought it was connected to work issues.
The dream probably addressed his wish to sort this out. Later he found out
that the cause of the bad situation was not work issues. One of the coworkers
had just had his prize guitar stolen and that was causing him stress.
One other feature of the dream was the best friend. But this is a best friend
that the dreamer did not recognise. A best friend can symbolise an ideal situation.
The friend was near a bridge which had a reputation for people committing
suicide. Suicide in dreams often links to a wish to give up on something.
So in this sense it maybe linked to an acceptance of the situation. It was
not in the dreamers power to make people get along at work.
Dream Symbols
BEST FRIEND : "an ideal situation"
NOT RECOGNISE : "this often signals that you are trying to achieve something
but failing"
SUICIDE : "the dreamer was trying to get along with his coworkers but has
virtually given up"
WEAPON : "ready for confrontation"
DREAM MEANING The dream captures the following feeling within the dreamer
- "I have been given all the best jobs at work recently. But I just worry
that others are unhappy about this. I sense some tension. I just wish we could
all get along better together.

THE DREAM - I am watching people from work on a Road called Manor Road.
They are moving from one parking space - then moving to another. People seem
to be swapping positions.
THE REALITY The dreamer had a problem with someone from work. He was continually
causing arguments. The dreamer felt that much of the problem was down to the
fact that the person in question had been there longer and felt more senior
and more important than the dreamer. However, the longer the dreamer stayed
the more power and authority he had.
DREAM INTERPRETATION The dreamer was having trouble at work with another coworker.
He was resentful that the dreamer was now being seen as more important in
the organisation. The dream uses the street name as a pun. Manor is often
associated with gangster power - a manor is seen as somebodys territory.
So the dream represents the change in power in the dreamers workplace. When
they swap car parking positions it represents the new pecking order in the
company.
One thing to note here is that none of the workers in the dream were people
who the dreamer was having trouble with. Dreams are like this. The dream merely
follows a theme - you have to look for that theme in your life. The big clue
given was the street name - that had associations with power and influence.
The other clue was swapping positions. From that the dreamer was able to point
to this major issue on his mind at the time
Dream Symbols
MANOR : "being in charge - being territorial - wishing to protect your image
and power - the dreamer feels like he is in a battle for respect and recognition
within the company"
MOVING : "a transformation in your circumstances or emotions - the dreamer
is moving to a new position of importance within the company"
PARK : "maneuver yourself into a comfortable position - the dreamer recognises
his new power and sense of recognition within the company"
SWAP : "switch - the dreamer has switched positions in the company hierarchy
with his rival. He is now more important "
DREAM MEANING The dream captures the following feeling within the dreamer
- "I am having a problem with a coworker. He has been in the organisation
for years and I have only been there for a short while. But now I am already
more important than him. I do not think he likes this. He sees it as his territory."

THE DREAM - A man I know called Frank was in an Street called Clark
Street. Then suddenly I have my camera with me but the lens is broken.
THE REALITY The dreamer was a clerk in a Government office. The previous day
her coworkers found out that she was actually quite creative. She was a skilled
photographer.
DREAM INTERPRETATION The dream features the name frank. That name often appears
in dreams because its an obvious synonym. In this dream it represented the
new way in which her coworkers saw her. Quite frankly she had been seen in
a very ordinary light beforehand. This new knowledge transformed the way people
saw her. There was another quite obvious pun in the dream - Clark Street.
That quite clearly indicated what the dream was about.
Dream Symbols
CAMERA : "the dreamers own interest in photography"
DREAM MEANING The dream captures the following feeling within the dreamer
- "My coworkers think I am just some boring cleric. But yesterday I told
them of my interest in photography and my own creative side. I think it quite
shocked them"
--------------------------
THE DREAM - I am on a normal street house on Prospect road. It is some
sort of workshop. There seems to be some problem. Then suddenly the four walls
fall down and I am on the upstairs with this workman for all to see
THE REALITY The day of this dream the dreamer had become very ill. He did
not know what to think. He went to the doctors expressing all sorts of fears.
DREAM INTERPRETATION The street in question is a synonym - the dream was about
the dreamers prospects at that moment. The workshop represented how he was
working systematically through lots of feelings and was imagining all sorts
of things.
The upstairs in dreams is often associated with all sorts of imagined beliefs.
In this case the dreamers upstairs was totally open to view. That represented
how the dreamer was openly expressing his fears. The walls falling away maybe
also show that these fears where groundless.
Dream Symbols
PROSPECT ROAD : "the dreamers own health prospects"
SUDDEN : "a major transformation in your thoughts"
WORKSHOP : "the dreamers own work - he was totally unable to work for
weeks afterwards"
DREAM MEANING The dream captures the following feeling within the dreamer
- "I think the dream was a premonition of the day of the dream. I had
a very bad back that day and did not know what to think. "
