Alcohol in dreams can indicate our attitude. A little alcohol maybe suggests a relaxed attitude. A lot of alcohol may suggest a very lax attitude. We have perhaps not taken things seriously. E.g.

THE DREAM I am climbing up a tree.. I cross over to another tree. But coming down I cannot get down. I look to another tree but cannot see a way down.

I climb up the tree to take a look at some people working near by. At the top there is a glass of beer. I had left it behind some other time. I was going to drink it. Then I think it may affect my judgement. I am very high up and one slip up and thats it.

THE REALITY The dreamer had been drinking a lot recently. yet he also had important work to do. He had been affected by cold the previous day and was realizing that he needed to control this more.

DREAM MEANING The dream captures the following feeling within the dreamer - "I have important things to do. I do not want my drinking to affect this. I know now I should not have polished off that Tequelia the other day".

THE INTERPRETATION Many interpretations of dreams link to the previous day. This one seems highly linked to recent events. The dreamer had just had a cold and had openly stated that this was caused by drinking. Many symbols can be literal. Thats often the case with alcohol. Here the beer was not highly abstract and symbolic. It merely linked to itself and its impact on the dreamer.

Often some important moment of the dream sticks out. Thats the case in this dream. The dreamer obviously comes to some important conclusion. He sees that his judgment is affected. This represents an important new conclusion in real life. Its an insight into recent events. Its merely copying and reflecting real life. He had already realized the need to keep drinking under control.

The dream also seems to mimic real life. Though in some very abstract way. In real life he had some Tequela hidden away at home. He had decided to drink it a couple of nights before. In the dream he now realised that he should not act in the way that he acted in real life a couple of days previously.

The people working in the dream reflect his own recognition that he had a lot of important work to do. Several tasks were on his mind and he realized that he wanted to retain sound judgment in real life.
