The main symbolic meaning of actors is that you feel unsure doing something.
You maybe are trying to behave in a way that does not come naturally.
E.g.
"I am having to make a speech tomorrow and its going to be difficult
as many of the ideas I am unsure of myself. Its difficult trying to say such
things in such a public setting when I am not truly convinced by my own arguments"[Dream

In addition actors may link to moments when you are trying to fake something.

Actors and TV can simply reflect the programs we have been watching and
the emotions we feel while watching them. E.g.
"I was watching a silly tv show before I went to bed. It helped me take

Sometimes the actors may symbolise a certain type of person or emotion
that the dreamer wants to express within his own life. E.g.

DREAM TIP : Try to think of dream symbols as words. Think of actors
in dreams as representing the word "pretending". Now write down some phrases
which capture your current feelings. E.g.
"I am upset with my sister after she messed up my computer"
"I hate having to perform this new task at work. I do not feel confident but
I am trying to at at least pretend I know what I am doing"
"I have injured my shoulder and need to let it rest"
Now work through those quotes and see where the word "pretending" seems at
all relevant. If there is a strong connection then the dream may link to that
very issue. Next try the same process with other symbols in your dream.

THE DREAM I with the actor Lionel Blair who is wearing a silly hat.
There seems to be a sharks fin somewhere in the background that is swimming
around. There is a large stage.
THE REALITY On the day of this dream the dreamer was due to make a speech
at work. He was having to argue for something he did not feel totally convinced
about. He felt danger connected with this as he did not feel convinced by
his own arguments.
DREAM MEANING The dream captures the following feeling within the dreamer
- "I am going to have to make this pitch. But the arguments I am going
to use do not totally convince even me so how can I hope to convince someone
else. I just think that this is something I would rather avoid. ."
THE INTERPRETATION Sometimes we get dreams that make some sense because we
are helping save someone or something. We can recognise that in real life
that dog or person has been on our mind and we feel the need to protect them.
The point is why does the dream feature alligators? Dreams do use extreme
metaphors. But if you look at dreams in a more straightforward way they make
more sense. An alligator is something that we would avoid at all costs. So
this dream is pointing to some real life situation where the dreamer was trying
to prevent her mother or dog getting into trouble. Most dreams have their
trigger on the day before so its worthwhile seeking out what triggered the
dream specifically.
