DREAM DICTIONARY - Violent :

Violence in dreams is often a symbol of your own inner aggression. You maybe experiencing terrible mood swings. Maybe you have very mixed up emotions and resentments building up.

Violence may also symbolise everyday struggles. If your job is very demanding then the dream could represent that. Your emotions are caught up in your work and you find it difficult to let go at the end of the day.

Example dream : In real life the dreamer was getting worn down listening to his neighbour who was constantly moaning and seemed to really dislike the dreamer. The night before he had listened to his neighbour moaning for what seemed like hours. He awoke to a dream where his neighbour was arguing with another neighbour. The drama in the dream linked to the dreamer worrying about his neighbour's potential for confrontation and even violence. He feared that a violent dramatic incident was just around the corner.
Example dream : A dream where her husband is violent took place when they were having arguments and he was lying and blaming everything on her. The violence was a symbol of his confrontational nature and her real fear that he might lose control and that she should worry about her own safety.
Example dream : A dream with sadistic violence seemed to mirror real life urges to kill. The dreamer reported sitting with her boyfriend and suddenly having these crazy violent thoughts which were really quite disturbing. The sleeping mind will concentrate on anything worrying. The dreams might actually make the situation worse as the dreams then spark further thoughts and suddenly the situation spirals.
