Try to think about all the qualities that you associate with soldiers and then think how such qualities are relevant now in your life. Did you need to show greater discipline yesterday? Has life been very harsh recently? Have you been trying to battle through some situation? Try to think of any link - Do you know any soldiers? Did you see any soldiers yesterday?

KEY WORDS :discipline, tough, hardship, teamwork, struggle, the army, kill(write down some quotes that capture your key feelings on issues that have been dominating your mind. Then see if any of these words could appear in those quotes)

EXAMPLE DREAMS

Example dream : Being a soldier linked to the dreamers thoughts about his relationship with fiance. She liked to take her time and did not mind being late whilst the dreamer was used to getting things done on time - he had quite a 'militaristic personality'. Sometimes their differing personalities would clash.
Example dream : Soldiers training symbolised the dreamers attempts to improve his life - he was putting a massive effort into training. The "soldier" therefore links by association with the dreamers own attempts to train like a soldier might. He was pushing himself to the limit.
Example dream : A soldier was symbolic of all the determination and hard work the dreamer had put into a work project.
Example dream : A soldier symbolised the dreamers inability to settle down properly. He was good working very hard night and day(much like the life of a soldier). Yet he really did not know what to do with himself if he had to relax. The soldier then was symbolic of his workaholicism. Overall this theme was very imortant at the time as he was feeling "I have nearly finished this big project. I wonder how I will cope with having nothing to do." So the dreamer had a "militirastic personality" and liked to work like a soldier getting stuck into difficult tasks. He tended to go at "battle speed" and relished any major challange.
Example dream : A dream about disgruntled soldiers took place the day before the dreamer was due to help a relative with a computer problem. The dreamer was not keen on this and felt he had been pushed into doing something that he was not wanting to do (in the same way soldiers are pushed into doing things that they do not want to do).
Example dream : A soldier symbolised the harsh and gruelling week the dreamer had had. His home had become like a war zone as building work was completed
Example dream : A dream with soldiers in just linked to the coming battle the dreamer was in
Example dream : A soldier represented a day in which the dreamer was very disciplined and had to endure lots of problems. This day was a test of his abilities as he had really had to battle hard against a lot of problems.
