DREAM DICTIONARY - Shame :

Shame is a very distinct emotion and probably is easy to spot in how it links to reality. If you felt shame the day before then that emotion can appear in your dream - although it may seem totally unrelated and unconnected. Does someone think highly of you and you are feeling how you have disappointed them? Perhaps you were doing something which made you feel embarrassed. You could have been talking to someone that others would think was undesirable.

EXAMPLE DREAMS

Example dream : A dream where the dreamer feels he should not have done something linked to the day before when the dreamer felt ashamed of something he had done in real life. He had been trying to build up a friendship with someone and realised that he was caught doing something which would not impress this new friend.
Example dream : The guilt and shame in a dream symbolised the dreamers own recognition of how she had gone off the rails. She was thinking of how she would have felt if her father had still been alive. She was starting to feel a little shame at what she had done. She was also thinking about how her father would have been able to sort her out whereas she just clashed with her mother.
