DREAM DICTIONARY - Revolution :

A dream symbol will associate with any aspect of the symbol. Think of the emotions that come to mind and which you link to "revolution". Think of the type of people that take part in revolutions. Some you might think of as anarchists who would never be able to get along with any one. Other revolutionaries are idealistic and mean good.

Now collect together all the words and short phrases that link to this symbol. Here is my list of KEY WORDS : a need for change, chaos, rabble, hippies, feeling rebellious, idealist, campaigning, a cause, challenge, unfair, the system, battle, injustice, right and wrong, your rights, standing up for what you believe in (now think about these words and write sentences which capture your feelings right now which include these words. For instance if you were thinking about the unfairness of your school committee then clearly the word unfairness could be the key to understanding the dream about a revolutionary)

Dreams will capture your "conscious" thoughts so you will be aware of any feelings that a dream portrays. Dreams can in fact depict quite complicated thought processes. One of the key words in the list above is "chaos" - now think of how many ways in which you might use that single word. You might be thinking how "the economy is in chaos" and so you maybe comparing the state of your countries economy to a country in chaos and revolution. You might be thinking "my mind is in a state of chaos right now" or "life is chaotic". You might be thinking how your boss "causes chaos and really cannot organise anything". Clearly symbols can mean many different things. Your dream mind never feels the urge to explain a dreams meaning. Your dream maybe about something important and it may simply link to something that you watched on tv last night.

The list of symbolic meanings is endless. A dream may associate with reality in any way. Your dream could simply mean that yesterday you bumped into someone from the opposite sex who you found attractive and whilst you were talking you saw a poster of a revolutionary. In that way the revolution in the dream was simply a link to a chance meeting. A dream may not necessarily be about anything real. Many dreams capture our moods and so a revolutionary dream may simply link to your mood of rebellion as you woke up one day thinking about the injustice in the world.
