EXAMPLE DREAMS

Example dream : Hiding in a dream linked to the dreamer breaking up with her boyfriend and whilst having to do exams. Hiding has obvious relevance in this situation as the dreamer may want to "hide from her emotions" (denial) or "hide from the world". This was a long dream which seems to recreate the dreamers ongoing emotions during the previou day catching feelings like "eventually I just wanted to hide from everyone and be by myself." So this dream recorded the different ways in which she was trying to cope.
Example dream : A dream where the dreamer "hides" a dead body occurred the day after the dreamer had a conversation about a break up. We have to examine some complicated emotions to see relevance. In the dream she kills a man and chops up the body hinting at bad feelings. The man murdered has got to be a symbol for her ex. Killing him hints at bitterness. Hiding the murdered body could mirror feelings like "trying to forget" and "trying to conceal bad feelings" or "ashamed at how I behaved." The dreams meaning probably links to some way in which she is re-evaluating what happened. She is looking back with fresh honesty. So the dream could link to feelings like "Thinking back I realise how bitter I was." Given time we admit things which we would never admit when we are caught up in events.
Example dream : Hiding in the dream linked to the dreamers tendency to keep himself to himself. He was very secretive and the previous day he had been in an internet chat room and felt people were prying on him and asking too many questions. So hiding could translate into the word "secretive" and this word had obvious relevance in the dreamers feelings e.g. "I was very secretive about my life whilst in that chat room. I hated people prying." So the deeper meaning of the dream was linked to the dreamers personality as he knew what he was like (very secretive - the type of person who hides away and is very defensive and evasive answering questions about himself).
Example dream : A dream where the dreamer tries to hide from her boss linked to him firing someone the day before. She had tendency to get away with as much as possible at work. When someone was fired she started to think about how she behaved and how it could have been her. She was shocked by the reality. Hiding has obvious relevance her as the dreamer was trying to "hide" her bad behaviour from her boss. She knows she has to "hide" from her boss when she does something wrong. Also she "hides" from her boss as she is scared of him. We could even translate "hiding" in this dream into the word "guilt" as the dreamer was feeling guilty at how she was behaving and knew she might get caught.
Example dream : A dream with a man called Peter Hide was a word play on the dreamers own tendency to hide away. The previous day the dreamer had been criticised by his father for making nothing of himself. But the dreamer felt he could not help this as he had bad marks on his face and body and stood out. He sometimes felt like a mutant. Hiding has obvious relevance here as the dreamer tended to "hide away", He was not very out going socially. The dream probably catches this exact feeling "I know I am not very outgoing but I have bad marks on my face and body. I feel like a mutant. My father should understand the difficulties I have had to face."
Example dream : Hiding symbolised the dreamers wish to get away from her boyfriend the day before who had been saying annoying things. The dream meaning involved this theme of "getting away from someone annoying" in the following context "I was really irritated by my boyfriend yesterday and wished I could have got away from him. I simply couldn't be doing with him at that time."
Example dream : Hiding symbolised the dreamers dislike of her boss - she was about to go back to work and had forgotten what a liar her boss could be. I will go back to avoiding him as much as possible"
