DREAM DICTIONARY - Enemy :

Dreams are about the questions that we are asking ourselves. Think of a question or statement which includes the word enemy e.g. "he is his own worst enemy" or "he is not our enemy he is simply fighting for his own corner". Dreams will link to quotes like this. Try to think of ways in which 'enemies' may be relevant in your thoughts right now. Who would you describe as an 'enemy'. Who do you regularly clash with? Is the enemy yourself (a weakness that you continually give in to)? maybe you are a paranoiac right now and have a tendency to see enemies everywhere.

KEY WORDS : fearing the worst in people, paranoia, never stop arguing, unable to trust anyone

EXAMPLE DREAMS

Example dream : An alien enemy symbolised the dreamers difficulty getting on with some people - they were so different from him that he really did not like being around them. He was fearing the worst in people and finding it difficult to relax. (the symbolism was simple - he was seeing everyone as an enemy)
Example dream : A dream where the dreamer is talking to an old enemy took place just after the dreamer had heard rumours that his old workplace was closing down. So he was starting to realise that his old enemies had now faced the same fate as him. This helped put his bitterness towards his enemy in perspective.
Example dream : A dream about trying to escape enemy soldiers took place at a time when the dreamer was trying to tame some feral kittens. The dreamer was highly affected by one kitten which refused to be tamed. A dream about enemy soldiers showed that the dreamer was thinking through the eyes of the wild kitten which saw humans as the enemy.
Example dream : An old enemy represented the dreamers Grandmother who was coming to stay and who caused her lots of problems - they had had many arguments and her grandmother had been a constant source of conflict.
Example dream : The dreamer was feeling alienated at work and increasingly isolated. The enemy in his dream represented his inability to trust anyone and perfectly captured the feelings of paranoia. He literally felt as if her was working in enemy territory. The dreams meaning therefore featured this theme of "paranoia" and caught this exact thought "I cannot relax at work as I feel so paranoid. Everyone seems to be against me so I do not know who is on my side."
Example dream : A dream about entering enemy territory in a battle situation linked to the dreamer thinking about the day to come. She was due to meet a man she loved but whom she had fallen out with. The enemy territory and battle scene symbolised her recognition that the next day could feature some heated discussions with this man.
