DREAM DICTIONARY - Camera :

When you see a camera what comes to mind. What do you immediately associate with a photograph or camera. Some people think "I want to look my best if a picture is taken" whilst others associate cameras with special occasions. Dreams use symbols to express the feelings that we associate with them. That association may link to a thought which pinpoints your current feelings. For instance, a camera dream could link to a "looking your best" feeling and the dream captures a thought such as "I need to wash my hair and look good tomorrow as I want to impress that new guy." The camera is linked to the wish to look their best and also the fact that cameras pick up every detail. So a camera appearing quite randomly in a dream may actually be symbolic of a very real worry dominating the dreamers mind.

KEY WORDS and PHRASES :
- "aware that people are watching you"
- "paranoid about your looks"
- "trying to remember every last detail in a scene"
- "trying to imagine a scene"
- "I can just imagine what that was like"
- "my interest in photography"
- "I want to look my best"
- "it was a lovely scene" (worth taking a photograph of)

EXAMPLE DREAMS

Example dream : A camera in a dream linked to the dreamers interest in photography. Just recently his health had been failing so losing the camera represented his inability to follow this hobby as he had in the past.
Example dream : A dream about a camera shop closing down was symbolic of the dreamer losing his interest in photography.
Example dream : A dream about someone having a new camera was quite literal as the dreamer had seen some photos the day before and thought that the photographer must have just got a new camera as his pictures were so much improved. This dream probably linked to this inspiring him as he was interested in photography.
Example dream : A camera in a dream linked to the dreamer thinking over something. He had been trying to encourage a young man into learning something. He had praised him for getting something right the night before. However, he later realised that the young man had actually made a mistake. The camera represented him thinking over what had happened and realising that he had not remembered things how they happened (the camera never lies)
Example dream : A camera was a symbol of the dreamers interest in photography. It was also linked to his need for a nice day out (trips out where linked to his interest in photography) to freshen up his stale mood.
