Cages in dreams can represent ways in which feel trapped or stuck in life. Do you feel stuck in a relationship? Do you hate your job right now? Do you feel trapped in a situation which you hate? Have you been thinking of freeing yourself by say leaving your job or ending a relationship?

The cage represented the responsibilities that go with family and her lack of freedom to do exactly what she wanted.
