Think also of your general moods and your thoughts about relationships. As you read these keywords think how they were relevant yesterday and in your life generally.

KEY WORDS AND PHRASES:
- able to have a joke with someone
- feeling comfortable with someone
- a good mood
- relating to someone well
- getting on especially well with someone the previous day
- wanting someone as a true friend

(Try to think how these keywords and phrases might have relevance in describing your current feelings eg if you have felt "We seem to get on much better. I felt very relaxed with him" then clearly the key phrase "feeling comfortable with someone" could be central to understanding the symbolic meaning of "banter".)

EXAMPLE DREAMS

Example dream : A dream with banter in it linked to a situation that was worrying the dreamer (a work project was causing lots of problems and no one wanted to be involved - it was causing a lot of tension). Banter symbolised the feeling that the conflict at work was largely good natured (there was conflict but it was containable - people had not descended into open conflict).
