DREAM DICTIONARY - Accept :A dream where you are dealing with acceptance as an issue is usually no coincidence. It will often show that acceptance is an issue right now. It may mean that you have difficulty in accepting something in which case your present mood could be depressed and sulky. You may have genuinely accepted something in which case your feelings will be more positive and you will have started to look to new interests and new relationships.
Acceptance in a dream may also show that you have just done something which you maybe thought uncomfortable. Yet once used to it you perhaps really quite enjoyed it.

For instance, an "acceptance" dream could link to the word "no alternative" and the dream capture a thought like "I really do not have an alternative. I have to grudgingly accept his offer".

However, she did enjoy the intimate and friendly moment and got over this initial awkwardness. The acceptance was a symbol for her enjoying something that she thought she would not like.
Example dream : Accepting defeat linked to the dreamer who was feeling frozen out by a group of friends. He felt sulky and was beginning to realise (accept) he had lost these friends.
Example dream : In one dream the dreamer is short changed and simply accepts this. In real life she suffered from a range of mental health problems including anxiety and panic attacks. Just recently there had been talk that the mental health help she received from social services was to be withdrawn. This dream seems to explore the types of problems that she had such as panic and confusion. "Accepting" being short changed was a symbol of her personality. She was very stoicial and would accept any level of abuse without saying anything. Years of mental health problems had worn her down and she took abuse as normal. She accepted it without question.
Example dream : In one dream the dreamer returns to a prison knowing that she will be assaulted. In real life the dreamer was thinking through her options and realised that both made her unhappy. Returning to a prison knowing she would be assaulted was a symbol of her realising that she was being stoical and that she needed to break free and create some new options which would make her happy. She was being too accepting.
Example dream : A feeling of acceptance in a dream was linked to the dreamers own coming to terms with her aunts death. It can sometimes take a few months for a death to really sink in.
Example dream : A dream in which the dreamer learns to accept his fate took place the day after a debilitating foot injury flared up again. The dreamer felt unhappy but realised that there was nothing he could do. He was powerless to prevent this chronic pain.
