Generally the closer you are to home in dreams the more natural the experience. For instance if you are generally in good health then if you do happen to suffer from illness then it is a somewhat foreign experience for you.

DREAM STUDIES
------------------------------
THE DREAM I am in a place that seems rather distant and unfamiliar. I am walking through the house and seem to be doing something that I do not like. My sister is here and I talk with her briefly.

THE REALITY The dreamer had for a long time had problems with her foot. But now she was starting to realise that she maybe affected permanently. That this indeed was the start of her old age.

THE INTERPRETATION The night before the dreamer had been worrying a lot about her foot. The house and the surroundings were unfamiliar because the situation she was in was now very unfamiliar and difficult to handle.

The appearance of her sister symbolises an openness to these new situations and feelings. Sisters talk openly and express their feelings in great depth. This dream represented a new acceptance of her current situation regarding her health.

Symbolic Meanings
UNFAMILIAR : "the dreamer is in an unfamiliar situation - in this case she is thinking that her health has been permanently damaged"
HOUSE : "the dreamers own body and health"
SISTER : "emotional openess - the dreamer was willing to accept that her health may be permanently damaged"

DREAM MEANING The dream captures the following feeling within the dreamer - "I need to get out of and about. I am in a bit of a rut. Maybe I should try something a little new and a bit different"

THE DREAM My dream started out on vacation with his family but not exactly were we will be. We will be by the ocean but in my dream we were staying in shacksright on the ocean and we had an old coast guard boat to use. The dream was long and all over the place so I will give you cliff notes, Basically I saw a shark and in all the chaos my husband and I ended up on a ship that was to take us to his family. We took a LONG route that included Haiti, Siberia and then I realized I was on the back of a bus speaking broken russian to a women as we were driving by the Kremlin. There is alot more but the general theme was boats.

THE REALITY The night before the dream the dreamer had stayed with a girlfriend. She was due to go on holiday with her husband of one year with his family next week. The dreamer adores her husband and his family but her husband prior to their marriage had been the black sheep, an image they are working on changing. She had threatened not to go because of some issues she'd been having with his bad habits and were their lives were as a result. The day before my dream they had a long talk and she felt like they made some important headway. She explained the importance of family as well as taking care of other things that are having are hindering the lifestyle she has been accustomed to living.

THE INTERPRETATION When something big happens we can almost guarantee that a dream will link to that big event or situation. Its just a matter of seeing how the events from the previous day translate into real life emotions.

This dream particularly features poverty. They start the dream near a shack symbolic of poor circumstances. The foreign countries visited such as Haiti are especially poor anbd full fo disorder. Symbolic of the disorder that her husbands black sheep tendencies.

Its always difficult to exactly interpret a dream. But we can have a guess. The Krelin could be symbolic of the wishes of the dreamer to discuss the rules which she wishes to stick by. We govern our own lives and set

The Russian woman could symbolize the dreamers own need to discuss these issues in her own ind. Its a woman because she is viewing this issue from a womans perspective. Maybe its a Russian woman because she maybe sees herself as ignored - Russian society run predominantly by men who impose male orientated rules.

Siberia is a symbol which is particularly interesting. Its a place with a cold and harsh environment. Maybe this dream links to the dreamers need to make her point. She perhaps reacts in a cold and harsh way towards her husband in order to get the message through about his need to change.

Its difficult to say exactly what the dream means. Its not entirely clear. We can never truly translate dreams. Yet this dream is undoubtably linked to the issues the previous day. This situation did cause this dream. Its easy to argue over the exact meanings. Yet the long journey is symbolic of the dreamers emotional journey with her husband. Its long and difficult. It links to her worries about poverty and disorder as it takes in places associated with such things. Yet we can never truly establish the dreams meanings. Thats what makes the subject so interesting.

COAST GUARD : "The dreamer is on her guard against certain types of tendencies within her husband"
HAITI : "a generally poor country - symbolic of the disorder and poverty that she fears her husbands worse tendencies can lead to"
KREMLIN : "The dreamers need to lay down the law. The need to show her husband the need to stick to the rules of society"
LONG JOURNEY : "A long and frustrating journey trying to change her husband"
SHACKS : "symbolic of the dreamers current situation. Poorer circumstances than she is accustomed to"
SHARKS : "probably symbolic of the dreamers husband - his worst tendencies"
WOMAN : "probably symbolic of the dreamers wishes as a woman. How she wants family to be put as the top priority. "

THE DREAM I am in some hospital receiving treatment. There is a nurse introducing me to the various procedures that need to be carried out. I am chatting with her about precisely what has to be done. At one stage I wash my hair. The nurse also mentions something about foreign and home doctors. I say that you cannot have too many foreign doctors because you will not be able to communicate properly. There had to be the right balance of English speaking and foreign speaking doctors.

THE REALITY The day before the dreamer was pretty down - lacking in enthusiasm for the world and with current plans very much disrupted. The dreamer had already decided to confront these feelings and freshen his life up.

THE INTERPRETATION Dreams will often home in on feelings that are in our minds at the time of the dream. The night before the dreamer had been a little down. He knew he was in a rut and needed to break out of it. Hospitals in dreams can link to real illnesses but they can also be a symbol of health in a wider sense. They represent attempts to make our lives better and more healthier. The dream features foreign doctors and home based doctors. In this case the dreamer was aware of the need to freshen up his life. The foreign doctors refer to doing something a little foreign or unfamiliar. In that sense he knew he had to break out of a routine. He knew he had to try something new to make life more iinteresting.

Symbolic Meanings
DOCTOR : "the dreamer is addressing his own health and emotional well being on a day to day basis"
FOREIGN : "trying something just a bit different will help improve his spirits"
HOME : "the dreamers own body and health - thoughts linked to his own emotional well being"

DREAM MEANING The dream captures the following feeling within the dreamer - "I need to get out of and about. I am in a bit of a rut. Maybe I should try something a little new and a bit different"

THE DREAM I am in some place which is far away. I am asking someone where I am. I know I am near Redcar. I have obviously been travelling. Yet I simply had no clue where I was.

Later on in the dream I was in a house. It had recently been refurbished. I had just started to explore secret portions of this house. Appartments and rooms which I knew existed but had never used. I notice that even this section was filled with beautiful new fuirniture. Yet I also noticed that some thing had been stolen. It was a beautiful house full of fantastic new furniture.

THE REALITY Just recently life had been very hectic for the dreamer. The builders had been in his home refurbishing it. This work was now all but complete. The dreamer was beginning to reflect on life in general. The work was almost over giving him a chance to think about things rather than be caught in the moment dealing with building work. He had also recently formed new friendships allowing him to visit new places.

THE INTERPRETATION Dreams tend to have their origin in recent events. Look for how symbols can relate to reality. In real life this dreamer had recently had his house renovated. The building work had been quite invasive and had really taken over his home. This was now virtually complete and was due to end the next day. So the refurbished house in the dream probably simply relates to his own home which had been refurbished.

The early part of the dream can be seen to relate to reality. He had recently formed new friendships which in turn had allowed him to travel much more widely. He was interested in photography. This travel had allowed him to visit lots of new places and take photos. Being in a place you have never visited is a good thing in photography. Its fresh and interesting.

The dream dealt with one thing that the dreamer could not figure out on waking up. The items being stolen in the house. The refurbished house seemed to make a lot of sense. That was easily interpreted. Yet the stolen items seemed to fit in less easily. The next day the dreamer started to think more about one or two items which appeared to have gone missing during the building work. He realised that a camera had gone missing. That day he started to look extensively for this. It was not found and later had to be reported to the police.

All dreams need to fit into a category. This dream seems to deal with two different subjects which is very uncommon for dreams(if accurately interpreted). Yet the dream does make sense. The building work was over now allowing the dreamer to reflect in general. Already forming in the mind were thoughts about his newly refurbished home and his recent increase in travel. Also starting to surface was worries about this camera going missing which the dreamer had so far dismissed. It had not been seen for a few days but the dreamer continually put this to the back of his mind. He felt sure sure it would turn up.

This dream then makes sense. When we have building work it takes over our lives. It means that we cannot sit and think about life in general. When it finishes we can then obviously reflect on whats new.

Symbolic Meanings
HOUSE REFURBISHED : "the dreamer had recently had the builders in "
STOLEN ITEMS : "The dreamer had noticed items had gone missing during the building work and was in denial about this. The next day he made a full search and later reported the missing items to the police. "
FAR AWAY PLACE: "The dreamer had formed new friendships which had allowed him also to travel more widely and see places he had never visited."

DREAM MEANING The dream captures the following feeling within the dreamer - "This building work has almost finished now. I can now take stock of how things are generally. I know life is getting better. hese renovations at home dshould make life more comnfortable. Also, I am starting to enjoy some new friendships and that is allowing me to visit the countryside more. I am visiting new and exciting places which is great because I am interested in photography."
